“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 ESV
In this lesson, you will learn how to paint a mini valentine card! Using pens, markers, watercolors or whatever you have available! Let's doodle a pink and red card together!
Start by reading 1 Corinthians 13:4-6, and pick one thing on that list to pray for God's help with. Start drawing the heart with pencil or pen. Write in bubble letters the word, "LOVE". Draw a scalloped edge around the heart. Remember to keep it wonky!
Now, let's add color! Using the size 8 brush, add water and use the hot pink watercolor along the scalloped edge. *Tip* The more water you use, the lighter the color will be. Now, add the pink color to the "L" and "V". Take a red marker, and draw little hearts in the letters "O" and "E". Now, draw red stripes with the pink letters. Using the red marker, draw a red shadow around each letter. Then, draw in red diagonal lines in the heart, criss-crossing each other. Make a red outline around the entire heart, and draw little red hearts in the background!
On the inside of the card, put confetti washi tape to the top and bottom of the card. Draw lines with the red marker all around the borders of the inside. Then to the sides, with the red marker, draw a scalloped edge. You can write whatever message you like in there!
Finishing touches! Once the watercolor dries, you can draw over it with the markers! Add some red here and there and et voila! Your Mini Valentine Card!
