It's a happy day and we're painting an Isaiah 6:8 Girl!!
āHere am I, send me.ā āIsaiah 6:8
Get your black marker out to start the outline! I start with the head, making a "U" like shape, then drawing the hair and face. Then, make a small neck and draw the dress! I'm giving her flowers to hold as well! I also wrote Isaiah 6:8
Once you've finished the outline, you can start adding watercolors! Paint the hair, dress, and everything else whatever colors you'd like! Of course, I'm a big fan of PINK!
Happy Day to you!
Let's Doodle a winter wren together!!
We can be inspired by the winter wren with our walk with God!
Start by using a black marker (I'm using a Faber Castell marker), drawing the birdie first, then an oval border around it!Ā
Once you've drawn the outline, you can paint in the colors with watercolors (I use Prima Marketing watercolors, you can find on Amazon!).
Then add whatever little doodads around the wren!
Happy Birdie painting!
Happy Journaling day to you!
We're drawing a journal girl, based on my Yellow Journal Girl painting!
For this lesson, I'm using a Faber Castell marker (for the outline), and Prima Marketing watercolors to fill this journal girl in with COLOR!
Ā āShe knew that she was formed by God's hand, dreamed up in His heart and placed in this world for a purpose.ā
Ā Happy day to you!
Ā
I love reading through Isaiah, and this chapter in particular speaks to me so much. Isaiah 61 reminds us we are anointed!Ā
āTo care for the needs for all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes.ā Isaiah 61 MSG
I truly think creating is a healing balm. So as we doodle this verse, we can heal from whatever we may be going through!Ā
Using a Faber-Castell SB pen, I'm going to draw out this verse in a very simple way. I wrote out the verse and then doodled a rose border around it.
Then, using watercolors (or magic markers), fill in the roses with pink and the leaves with green. I'm using Prima Marketing watercolors (You can find on Amazon).
Keep adding! I'm a maximalist, so I painted a border around the verse and then stripes in the background.
Using washi tape, I taped on a portion of a hymn that reads, "God is my refuge, God is my Strength"
Love to you!
Happy Day to you!!
Today we are drawing and watercoloring fall leaves! I go through the steps of creating wonky leaves for autumn!
Supplies:
Yippee! This is the FINAL part to our colorful paper house! We're adding the colors with watercolor and adding some wonky!
Get out your watercolors and paint your "house of dreams"! You can use colors similar to mine, or use your favorites! It will be a reflection of your hopes, prayers, and dreams!
āGod made Him who had no sin to be sin for us - so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.ā 2 Corinthians 5:21
Weāre in Eastertide, so weāre drawing a cross with flowers around it! :)Ā
With a Faber-Castell size B, Iām sketching out the cross. Then, Iām drawing flowers all around the cross.Ā
With my favorite watercolor pink (I'm using Prima Marketing watercolors), Iām coloring in some of the flowers! Go in with a darker pink red and paint that in more of the flowers. I then chose orange for the other flowers.Ā
Now, with a yellow, Iām painting in the cross.
Add a squiggle line around the flower border with yellow, and add fun little doodads! I got my pen back out, and drew hearts and wrote āLove is hereā, under the cross. Paint in the hearts and bubble letters with pink!
This is when you can add more details to the flowers! Bring more colors and patterns into the doodle!Ā
Letās make a Happy Sunshine Day sun together! This sunshine can be a reminder to fight for joy!
Using a pen or pencil (Iām using my Faber Castell size B pen), Draw a circle, and little imperfect squares around it for the sun rays.
with a smaller pen, write in bubble letters, āHappy Sunshine Day!ā in the circle. In the sun rays, you can right whatever you like. For example, āGod Loveās you!ā, āhave fun today!ā, āsmileā, āGod is for you!ā, āA cheerful heart fills the day with songā (Proverbs 15)
Now, using your watercolors, get into the yellow and paint your sunshine! *Tip* make sure you use a permanent pen if you plan to go over with watercolors, because permanent pen wonāt smudge from the water!
I painted in some of the words with pink, and added dollops of pink throughout the sunshine. Then I went in with blue and orange and painted those all in the sunshine!

Join me for Part 2 in talking about and coloring Iris Apfel!Ā ālife is very gray, so fashion should be fun.ā Iām all about color and wonky, so this quote really speaks to me! So put on your big round Iris Apfel glasses on and paint with me!
Using size 12 and size 9 brushes, and Prima Marketing Pastel Dreams watercolor set, paint the glasses hot PINK! You can use magic markers or anything, itās up to you what medium you want to color in!
*Tip* you want to hold the brush in a light feathery way for watercolor. For the hair, use a brown and add streaks of yellow to add depth. Use about 3 shades within the hair! I use light brown, yellow and dark brown. Then, paint the lips pink! *Tip* with watercolor, if you make a mistake, go in with a paper towel and blot the color away! Paint in the skin tone whatever color you would like! Looseness is key!
Start painting in the accessories! Pink, blue, and yellow for the beads; pink for the collar, and a turquoise for the dress! N...
Get out a little piece of paper and pen, and draw with me! Weāre sketching and making a springtime tree! I think it is so important to schedule a time to daydream and sit with God. āWhen I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I almost say that they save me, and dailyā -Mary Oliver
I highly encourage you to read the rest of the poem and be truly inspired!Ā
Iām drawing a simple tree! Start by draw two curves going different directions to make the trunk. Then a cloud like shape for the leafy part!
Write wonkily in your tree, āTo go easy, to be filled with light and to shine.ā - Mary Oliver. Draw some extra lines around the top of the tree.
Iām going in with watercolor, and painting what I call a āMatisseā tree! And what this means is Iām going in with all kinds of color in the tree. So the tree trunk has a little bit of brown, but it also has pin...
